CHAPTER EIGHT
âAre you okay?!â
Staring, I try to catch my breath as I climb off the high sleeping platform. When my feet touch the floor, my legs feel too shaky to stand, let alone cross the room, and I just have to cling to the metal bunk and watch as Xinnick wrestles with his pants to free himself.
Once heâs holding himself in hand, he strokes his big green cock as carefully as heâd rubbed my back; as if heâs soothing the poor thing.
âYou should go,â he says, still panting as he leans against the wall with one hand and slowly strokes himself with the other.
âAre you sure? That sounded painful. Do you want me to take a look at you?â
Glancing up, he catches me leaning over to get a better look, and he turns so that his cock is hidden from me completely. As if letting me see it is the last thing he wants.
âThat is not necessary. I am quite well. I have gathered information that requires processing, and my body mechanics are experiencing some Draavian feedback issues. My circuits will adjust soon.â
He looks over his shoulder at me, and his eyes are as round as Iâve ever seen them. He looks⦠shocked. Itâs surreal to see his face express anything other than cybernetic-induced nonchalance.
I might have broken him.
It seems wrong that my thoughts then stray from concern for his wellbeing, to what the IA might charge me with for breaking their equipment.
Scolding myself for losing sight of the soul I just experienced an insane connection with when Iâm still tingling all over, I grip the metal for support and stand taller.
âDid I do something wrong?â I ask softly as I test the stability of my legs by taking an unsteady step towards him.
âNo, Summer. You were perfect. You are perfect,â he corrects as he tucks his cock away and buttons his pants back up. I take another tentative step towards him, but he keeps the distance between us by shifting along the wall in the other direction.
I try again, and the same thing happens, crushing the enthusiasm thatâs still bubbling inside me.
âIf Iâm so perfect, then why are you running away from me?â
âIf I do not, you will be bent over and fracked within moments,â he states plainly, giving me pause. âThat is unacceptable. Go and do what you need to, so that you will be comfortable in here with me. It is important that you feel comfortable. I will not leave to kill Xintari for a while. I will wait here and process until you return.â
Go and do what I need to?
What I need⦠might be more than a change of clothes and some blankets. I stare at Xinnick with hungry eyes and attempt to shake the incessant desire from my head.
What I need is some processing time myself. Time to get over⦠whatever just happened.
I take a moment to straighten my uniform and tidy my hair. My lips are still tingling from our kiss, and I can still taste him on my tongue.
